Summer Funding for an internship in the amount of $7,500 has been set aside for a WCL student – Deadline April 11

Approximately every six years, the Women’s Bar Association Foundation of the District of Columbia (WBAF) selects the American University Washington College of Law (WCL) as the recipient of their Founders Fellowship. In 2013, WCL was selected to be the recipient of the Fellowship, which provides a stipend to allow a law student to work at a local non-profit organization that works to serve the legal and related needs of women and girls in the DC Metropolitan area. Examples of organizations where past recipients have worked include Ayuda, Tahirih Justice Center, and HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic. The amount of the fellowship is $7,500. The application deadline has been extended to Thursday, April 11.  Turn in the completed.  The application is available at the following URL (under Women’s Bar Association Foundation of the District of Columbia Founders Fellowship): http://www.wcl.american.edu/publicinterest/funding_sources.cfm.
