The National Collegiate Athletic Association’s (NCAA) office of government relations is accepting applications for an internship position during the Summer of 2015.  The position is limited to postgraduate students. The Washington, D.C. office was established in the spring of 1995 to provide the NCAA with up-to-date information on congressional, federal agency and state legislative activities impacting intercollegiate athletics.

Legal Fellow

 3L, 4LE, LLM Students

SCOPE OF WORK: The Legal Fellow will join the Partners for Human Rights(PHR) under the direct guidance of the PHR Executive Director and ISLU attorneys based in Washington, DC.  The Legal Fellow will work to promote the rights of human rights defenders around the world. This includes taking a leading role in research, drafting, litigation, and advocacy.  Current areas of focus include civil and political rights, women’s rights, LGBTI rights, indigenous rights, farmworker rights, and the rights of human rights defenders.
