The National Association of Women Judges (“NAWJ”), the nation’s leading voice of women jurists, is offering law students a unique and exciting internship opportunity at its National Headquarters in Washington, D.C., working with judges from across the country on cutting-edge programming.  This substantive internship offers a dynamic mix of intellectual challenge, career exploration, networking, and cultural encounters designed to provide interns with a rich and varied experience.

Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in and enthusiasm for NAWJ’s primary mission; the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, strong oral and written communication skills; be detail oriented and have excellent proof-reading skills; the ability to interact with members from all levels of the judiciary; and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Law Fellow (Paid)

AARP Foundation is the charitable arm of AARP that helps millions of struggling adults age 50 and over win back opportunity. AARP Foundation Litigation (AFL) is the Foundation’s litigation division and an advocate in courts nationwide for the rights of older adults.

AFL is seeking four Law Fellows to work under the supervision of AFL attorneys beginning in Fall 2015. Each Law Fellow will be assigned to work on a specific team including the employee benefits and investor protection team. The Law Fellow will conduct legal research, draft briefs and other legal memorandum and pleadings, otherwise participate in AFL litigation work, and support AARP staff with advocacy related to pending legislation and regulations, focusing on issues that impact adults age 50 plus.
