The Massachusetts Superior Court is currently seeking applicants for a paid law clerk.

The law clerk position is responsible for performing legal research and writing assignments to assist the Justices of the Superior Court, for a one-year term running from September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017. The position operates under the guidance and supervision of the Chief Justice, the eighty-one Associate Justices, and the Manager and Assistant Manager of Legal Research Services.

Judge Roy W. McLeese III of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals is accepting applications for three law-clerk positions for the 2017-2018 term. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a resume, an official or unofficial law school transcript, an undergraduate transcript (optional), a writing sample, and two or more letters of recommendation.

Judge Ramsey Johnson, Deputy Presiding Judge of the Civil Division of the District of Columbia Superior Court, is seeking a law clerk to begin work in early September 2015.

The position initially would be temporary. Depending on the passage of a budget for fiscal year 2016, this position could become a full, one-year clerkship. The law clerk’s responsibilities will include researching legal issues, drafting orders, preparing the Judge for hearings, and maintaining the Judge’s calendar.

SCOTUSource Independent Clinical Program with The Constitutional Sources Project. The Constitutional Sources Project (ConSource) invites applications from law students for an unpaid legal internship for Spring 2015.

In 2010, ConSource launched SCOTUSource through the Office of Clinical and Pro Bono Programs at Harvard Law School. SCOTUSource is an experiential learning opportunity for law students, designed to meet a desire for experienced researchers in the legal community. Through the SCOTUSource project, ConSource aims to guide law students through the process of historical constitutional research. SCOTUSource participants produce research reports related to pending U.S. Supreme Court cases, which are then shared with appellate advocates, the U.S. Supreme Court library, scholars, journalists, legal organizations – like the Constitutional Accountability Center and Cato Institute – and will be publically available on the ConSource blog.
